"A Murder at the End of the World" is a mystery series with a new kind of detective at the helm -- a Gen Z amateur sleuth and tech-savvy hacker named Darby Hart. In the new limited series, Darby and eight other guests are invited by a reclusive billionaire to participate in a retreat at a remote and dazzling location. Much of the series proves formulaic and tedious, notwithstanding the baseline tensions that mark any crime without a culprit, because the backstory intended to flesh out Darby’s motivation and personality has little skin in the overall game.

Nashville I Murder at the end of the world is a decent mystery, but was somewhat mundane. The perfect word for it is, Underwhelming.Many times the writers made the show too grandiose, trying to make the plot too smart and tech savvy for it's own good. It's clear Brit Marling had very ambitious notions, but didn't realize how deep in the weeds it was getting. Super scientific, it sacrifices plot twists in order to make comments on AI. Also, this cast was HUGE but the show just did not do nearly enough with such a big and well-cast ensemble. A lot of characters really just stood around the whole season while 4 people got the most attention. I found Darby to be extremely inconsistent -shes some sort of super smart hacker and self made detective but she’s also… a bit stupid? I have no idea what other people liked about this show apart from the back plot, which was far more thrilling, and the rather unexpected ending.
