The Bajaj Platina 110 stands alone as the sole 110cc bike in India equipped with ABS. This premium commuter motorcycle gets a range of features, including gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers, a plush cushioned seat, and generously wide footrests, all designed to elevate comfort levels. These attributes collectively position it as an attractive option for riders in search of a secure, comfortable, and fuel-efficient commuting motorcycle.

Price:

The Bajaj Platina 110 is available in two variants: one equipped with drum brakes and another with a front disc brake, complete with a single-channel ABS system. The drum brake version provides buyers with a selection of three colour options (Ebony Black Blue, Ebony Black Red, and Cocktail Wine Red-Orange) and is competitively priced at Rs 70,400. On the other hand, the disc brake variant is available in three colours (Cocktail Wine Red, Sapphire Blue, and Ebony Black) and is offered at a slightly higher price point of Rs 79,821 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Bajaj Platina 110 is the only 110cc bike in India with ABS. The H gear is also the only 110cc bike with a 5-speed gearbox.

Design

The Platina 110 gets a simple commuter design, prioritizing function over form. It has a long ribbed seat and its design includes a basic bikini fairing with an LED DRL. The fuel tank and side panels maintain a sleek, straightforward look. In the ABS version, the bike even gets a digital display.

Engine, Mileage And Performance

Despite what its name suggests, the Platina 110 actually packs a 115cc engine. This air-cooled, single-cylinder powerhouse produces 8.6PS and an impressive 9.81Nm of torque. With its shorter gearing in the initial gears, the Platina excels in low-speed performance compared to the Radeon. This enhances its tractability and roll-on acceleration figures.

In the city, you can comfortably ride in 4th gear and can do speeds as low as 35kmph in 5th gear if needed. That said, the 4th gear is the sweet spot for urban riding. That very nature means the Platina 110 has better fuel economy than its rivals. What makes things even more impressive is this 110cc unit’s refinement. On the highway, thanks to the tall 5th gear, you can maintain 70kmph with the engine running quite smoothly.

Handling And Ride Quality

Even though it's one of the heavier 110cc bikes, the Platina maintains a nimble feel. It's a breeze to maneuver within the city, thanks to its small turning radius.

Comfort

The Platina gets a telescopic fork and twin gas-charged rear shock absorbers. These are adjusted with two-up riding in mind, so when you're riding solo, you might experience a bit of jolt when encountering sharp bumps and potholes. That said, the ride quality improves with a pillion on board.
