Many companies provide ASHA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) free of charge for Speech-Language Pathologists looking to minimize the cost of continuing education. Below is a list of free ASHA-credited CEUs which can be submitted to ASHA and will show up in the online CE registry. Alternatively, these courses can be used for ASHA certification maintenance hours (CMHs) which will not show up in the CE registry, but will still count towards the 3-year certification maintenance requirement.

Tobii Dynavox Learning Hub
Tobii Dynavox offers an online Learning Hub with courses designed to expand your knowledge and skills with Augmentative and Alternative Communication. Many of their courses are available for 0.1 ASHA CEUs. Create an account on their site and browse available courses.
To find courses available for ASHA CEUs, select the course catalogue and search ‘ASHA’ or ‘CEUs’. Only courses with the ASHA Brand Block will provide continuing education units.
Be sure to include your ASHA # in the ‘My Info” profile to ensure that the correct information is sent to ASHA on your behalf.
AAC Learning Journey with PRC-Saltillo
AAC Learning Journey offers many free courses on a variety of topics including AAC evaluation and implementation, and AAC app-specific trainings.

Offers four pre-recorded webinars for SLPs and other professionals. In order to receive credits, SLPs must create a log-in and complete survey and quiz with a score of 80% or higher. More information on the requirements can be found on their website. Each lecture is offered for 0.10 or 0.15 CEU.
AbleNet
Ablenet is an ASHA CE provider that offers a variety of live professional development sessions on a variety of topics. Each session is free but requires registration. Check their website regularly to see what courses are being offered! In order to receive ASHA CEU’s, participants must complete the post-webinar quiz with 80% accuracy within a week of the live session.
Live Professional Development Sessions
AAC in the Cloud
AAC in the Cloud is a free online conference held each year with session topics focused on all things AAC. AAC in the Cloud does not report CEU’s to ASHA, but will offer a certificate of attendance which can be used for self-reported ASHA Certification Maintenance Hours. Participants will need to complete a post-session form to receive a certificate of attendance.
AAC in the Cloud 2024 will be held on June 25-26 2024. Previously recorded conferences can be viewed on their website.
Northwest Augmentative Communication Society (NWACS)
NWACS offers free online monthly live webinars on a variety of AAC-related topics. SLPs can request a Certificate of Attendance once course is completed to receive credit for Certification Maintenance Hours. More information can be found on their website.
