  • The Academic campus of the University is located in the historical Khasa Kothi of Jaipur.
  • Spread across two floors, this campus is well equipped with all the essential academic facilities like classrooms, computer lab, studio, library etc.
  • The Administrative campus of the University is situated on the second floor of Rajiv Gandhi Vidya Bhawan inside the Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan Shiksha Sankul situated on the Jawaharlal Nehru Marg.
  • For establishing the new campus for the University the state government has allotted a land parcel of 30.55 acres in the Gram Dhami Kalan on Ajmer Road, where construction work is soon to begin.
  • Arrangements have been made with elegant architecture at the complex under construction for all requirements like departmental buildings, computer lab, well-equipped studio, smart classrooms, lecture hall, library, reading room, student hostel, auditorium, gymnasium, swimming pool, shopping area, hospital, play grounds, bank, ATMs etc.
  • There are two faculties in the University:
    1.Faculty of Journalism
    2.Faculty of Mass Communication
  • Under the Faculty of Journalism, there are three academic departments of the University:
    1.Department of Media Studies
    2.Department of Electronic Media
    3.Department of New Media
  • Under the Faculty of Mass Communication, there are two academic departments of the University:
    1.Department of Media Organization and Public Relations
    2.Department of Development Communication
  • All the Syllabus of the educational academic programmeswith respect to graduate and post-graduate degrees conducted by the University have been designed as per academic standards and professional expectations.
  • The courses have been designed by reputed Subject experts and experienced media specialists.
  • The Syllabus include latest trends in media, job oriented skills, innovation and also content related to professional ethics.
  • A process of continuously upgrading the Syllabus has been adopted, so that students graduating in these course can become skilled professionals.
  • All students admitted to the graduate and post-graduate courses will have to complete the procedure of enrollment in the University.
  • Without enrollment no student will be allowed to appear for the University examination.
  • Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from some other University or board will be required to submit the original migration certificate as well as a copy of the mark-sheet of the qualifying examination. Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan, Ajmer, are not required to submit such migration certificate.
  • The enrollment procedure will be completed only after the Director of the Academic Campus attests the copy of the mark-sheet of the qualifying examination as a true copy of the original mark-sheet.
  • After completion of the course, University will provide a migration certificate, if applied.
  • Biometric attendance of the students is registered in the University.
  • Students are expected to regularly attend all their classes.
  • At least 75% attendance is compulsory for all the students in the classes as well as practical/field work.
  • If the attendance falls below this requirement, the student will not be allowed to appear in Internal exams as well as the main examination at the end of the Semester.
  • In special circ*mstances, students may be given an exemption from the minimum attendance requirement as per the prevailing rules in University of Rajasthan.
  • Students of the University are expected to maintain the standards of decency.
  • Students will always wear their ID cards on their person inside the University campus.
  • The University campus is completely ragging free. The University has constituted an Anti-ragging Committee to take required action in this regard. Any aggrieved student can convey his/her grievance to this committee. Immediate action will be taken on all complaints. If a student is found guilty of ragging not only inside but also outside the campus, there is a provision to proceed with penal action against such a student. Friendship amongst students is desirable but the committee will ensure prevention of any instances of ragging.
  • At the time of admission, every student will produce a duly signed written consent letter from his/her guardian/parent that he/she will abide by all the rules and standards of decency laid down by the University during academic session.
  • An Internal Complaints Committee has also been constituted in the University, which will deal with the disposal of sexual harassment cases inside the campus. Apart from prevention of such cases, the committee also takes positive initiatives to develop gender sensitivity among the students.
  • In this way, with a frustration free mind the healthy development of students will be ensured.
  • The students will have a right to scholarships/ financial aid provided by central government/ state government/ other agencies.
  • This right will be acceptable only within the framework of the rules pertaining to the concerned scheme regarding the scholarship/financial aid.
  • Examinations are held in complete sanctity in the University.
  • Semester system, choice-based credit system and grading systems are being followed in all the courses conducted by the University.
  • The main exams at the end of Semesters are organized every year in the months of December-January and May-June.
  • Prior to this, under the continuous assessment process Internal exam is also conducted AND it is necessary to pass it.
  • Applications for examination are filled online. Examinees use online download facility for their admit cards.
  • Exam results are also declared online.
