A few months ago I noticed on my google search performance that the keywords Polish Pops review were sending searchers to my site. The problem? I hadn’t done a review of Polish Pops gel wraps…yet.
A few years ago nail wraps became popular. First with Jamberry then with Colorstreet and now many different brands are available at chain retailers such as Walmart, Target, Ulta, and more. However, not all wraps are the same quality and have good staying power. So I shared a few posts on how to apply them and my thoughts on their longevity. These posts remain some of my highest viewed posts each month. Let’s continue that!

What are Polish Pops?
Polish Pops is a company that sells 2 different kinds of nail wraps; Nail Polish Wraps and Gel Wraps. The Nail Polish Wraps recommend a top coat after application while the Gel Wraps require curing with a UV light. Both are made to be vegan, cruelty & toxin-free. The description states they are 14 Free which means free of 14 ingredients considered by some to be harmful. The nail polish wraps claim to last 7-10 days while the gel wraps last 10-14 days.
Nail Polish Wraps Review
- Although I’ve reviewed these before, I purchased more because that was 3 years ago.
- Cost- $9 for a set of 18 wraps
- enough for 2-3 manicures depending on length of nails
- Can get 2 nails from 1 strip if you have short nails. Wraps are double ended to help with this.
- free shipping on orders over $35
- only available on their website
- feel thinner, but apply easily
- easy to file off extra
- they can loose shine after 1 day or so and become sticky, but a layer of clear nail polish will help that
- they came off easily with nail polish remover, but I needed to go over them twice, once for the color and another time to get the adhesive off
- OVERALL
- My last review of these was a lot more positive. I did not have a good experience this time. I believe their formula may have changed. When I applied this over spring break, they started to become sticky almost immediately. They do not react well with sunscreen. These wraps developed bubbles and started to peel after 24 hours. I tried them again when we got back and had similar issues. I think they lasted 3 days with a top coat before they started to bubble.
Gel Wraps Review
- $16 for a set of 30 double sided wraps
- enough for 3 manicures if you are careful about sizes or trim the width on some to fit smaller nails
- cures in 60 seconds under UV light (I cured them for 2 minutes)
- comes in variety of solids, design, and skittle (mix of solids)
- thicker like gel
- Very flexible when applied so they form to your nail easily
- Able to fold down at tip for easy filing
- high shine after curing that stays for duration of wear
- OVERALL
- I was impressed with these. There was no chipping (because they are gel) and I liked how strong they are. My nails bend/break easily and these helped. I strongly recommend adding a base coat before application. That creates a barrier layer that helps protect your nail when you remove them. I soaked them in warm water for a bit then used nail oil with an orange stick to pop them off with minimal damage. After 4-5 days you can see slight lifting on some. It looks almost like a bubble, but it’s very inconspicuous. Over the 3 manicures I’ve given myself with these, only 2 have come off accidentally. They typically last me at least a week then I switch them out because they begin to grow out and snag on things.
