How long is the Tsukihime remake? ›

Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon's English Translation Arrives Summer 2024. The official English translation of TYPE-MOON's visual novel remake, Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon, will arrive on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Summer 2024.

Pressing Escape or the right mousebutton will display the ingame menu. From here you can save and load games, access extra ingame features or quit to the main menu. There are five main routes in Tsukihime, being the Arcueid, Ciel, Akiha, Hisui and Kohaku routes.

Every heroine except Kohaku has two possible endings. When the player has achieved all possible endings, a new epilogue part, entitled Eclipse, is unlocked. Tsukihime remake entries are visual novels like the original, and though it features modern amenities, (such as better skip functions) it plays mostly the same.

5 Tsukihime – (61 Hours)

The game was released back in 2000 as served as the first Type-Moon VN, preceding the incredibly popular Fate/Stay Night. It follows Shiki Tohno, a reserved young man who can see manifestations of death as a result of a life-threatening childhood injury.

One factor that could limit Tsukihime's potential is the fact that the game is rated CERO Z, owing to it retaining some of the original's more violent events.

The original Tsukihime and Kagetsu Tohya are abandonware, so there is no way to acquire it through TYPE-MOON themselves. Don't feel bad about not giving scalpers your money just to read this VN. If you want to support Tsukihime, purchase the Remake.

The original Melty Blood game takes place in one year after Satsuki Yumizuka's non-existent route of Tsukihime and a month after Kagetsu Tohya.

How many routes does Tsukihime remake have? ›

Yes, but the Remake currently only has Arcueid and Ciel's route. You will be missing out on Far-side routes that are what many consider to be the highlight of the visual novel.

The episodes are based on the visual novel Tsukihime by Type-Moon and adapt the source material over twelve episodes. The plot of the episodes follows Shiki Tohno after he moves into his sister's house, and his interactions with the vampire Arcueid Brunestud.

The characters are well designed and distinctive and the animation is good. Given that is it effectively a horror series it is surprising that it isn't darker in tone but that isn't a bad thing. Overall I'd certainly recommend this less well known series to anime fans.
