Top of the line, as great as it should be at Madison Ave and 76th 3/11/2013
This store delivers the expectations for the high-end quality that should be present at on of the best locations in NYC maybe. The lines they carry are all the stuff my dreams are made of and every where I look there's another gorgeous little treasure that I hadn't found in any other drugs store. Like top of the line hair accessories that are no where else to be found. Zitomers is my favorite drug store in the world. more
Pricey Diapers 5/23/2006

Zitomers is a fun place to browse for skincare products and toys for tots. They have a great selection of hair do-dads, clips and barrettes. They have every lotion and jelly know to woman to prevent wrinkles and turn back time. The layout is cramped and the pharmacy is near the back creating a log jam.Once I had to buy diapers here (it was an emergency) and they worked out to be about $4 per diaper. I hope my daughter appreciated her high priced poop collectors. more
More than a pharmacy 3/29/2006

Zitomer's is so much more than a pharmacy. They have a wide variety of products - all sorts of wonderfully smelling lotions and potions, great gift items, tasty candy and more. Of course you can get your prescription filled here, and you'll have plenty to do while you wait. The store is located near the Carlyle hotel on 76th and Madison. It's surprisingly not as snooty as you would expect a store in this neighborhood to be. The staff are great - very helpful and friendly. more
Department Store is a great description 7/12/2005

This can really be a one-stop shopping experience, so don't be put off by the name or location. They are really helpful here, and have a wide variety of everything you might need for bath supplies, medical prescriptions and supplies, and all the other little things you need like a great hairbrush, or a travel lint brush. For a fairly small location, they sure pack in a lot of merchandise - including great unusual toys for the last minute birthday party. As a bonus, you may even see a celebrity or two. Their prices are typical for the neighborhood, but you cut out alot of wasted time by not having to run to one of the crowded drugstores more
Great Department Store 7/7/2005

An East Side institution for many years. It's large enough to be a department store but small enough for personal service. They have a great toy selection and a great cosmetic selection. A candy department and excellent pharmacy. The accessories department is pretty good to. You can easily spend a few hours here doing shopping and more than one Christmas Eve I've done my last minute shpping here. more

The Scene
A three-story drugstore-emporium of "necessities" stocked with so many luxurious goods that it could only exist in New York. On the ground floor you'll find sundries, cosmetics, accessories and video/DVD rentals plus electronics. The second floor boasts an excellent collection of lingerie and children's clothes and the third floor is a mini FAO Schwarz. The Goods
The best of everything. Cosmetic lines offered include Chanel, Lancome and Clarins. Look for Z New York, Zitomer's house label--the products all have indigenous N.Y. names like Chelsea and Times Square. (Don't miss the Gracie lip gloss--it's some of the best in town). Mason Pearson hairbrushes (of course), a plethora of sparkly hair accessories and wonderful, hard-to-find imported beauty booty like Smith's Rosebud Salve, Violet lip balm from Spain, French toothpaste and Terax Crema conditioner round out the selection. - 10/19/2006 Provided by Citysearch
